Metrix v4.1.3 does two things worth your attention. First, Robinhood support across the whole workflow - discover, simulate and track the best Robinhood pools! Second, cost basis is now easy for every LP position you hold, and even before you enter one, with a clear breakdown and visual simulation.

Track pools with a Robinhood wallet selected, showing earnings and exposure to tokenized equities

Robinhood Chain, end to end

Uniswap V3 and V4 pools on Robinhood now appear in Discover alongside every other network. Sort by the metrics you care about, and browse the best performing pools.

From there the rest of the product works the way it already does. Simulate like any other pool, sync with Track for live position performance.

Discover showing Uniswap pools on Robinhood

Cost basis at your fingertips

When you provide concentrated liquidity, the pool quietly converts one token into the other as price moves through your range. By the time you close, you are holding a different mix than you deposited, and figuring out the conversion is a nightmare.

Metrix now shows that conversion directly! You get a detailed breakdown separating what you accumulated from what you sold, plus cost basis per token.

Asset conversion breakdown on a Track position, with cost basis per token

Advanced position simulator

A good portion of our daily work is simulating outcomes before a position exists. Metrix Simulate is already a great tool for that. Now it is even better! The conversion price and breakdown render in Simulate too, along with a visual profit and loss curve.

Set a range, look at where the conversion lands, and decide whether that average price is one you would accept. This is especially useful for DCA style accumulation.

Looking for divergence loss (or impermanent loss) simulation? We got you covered. The visual simulator makes it easy to see LP movement across the range. Adjust the estimated APR and time in range to get a clear picture of how your LP strategy compares with HODL.

Simulate showing the cost basis breakdown, estimated APR, time in range and LP vs HODL

And documentation is there for you as well

Sounds complicated? Our Simulate Performance page and the asset conversion guide are public and available from day one. They walk through what the conversion price means, include a diagram of how the two sides move, and work through a live example end to end.

If you want to check how it works, the asset conversion guide is where to start.

The PnL curve section of the Simulate Performance docs

A better onboarding

New accounts now land on a Home surface that shows deployed capital next to a short setup checklist, so the first screen tells you where you are upfront. We also introduced guided tours to reduce the onboarding friction.

If you already use Metrix daily, this changes very little for you. It is aimed at the person opening the app for the first time.

The Home page with capital deployed and the setup panel

And many more quality of life improvements!

The rest of the release is a polish pass across the app. Wallet groups and the Portfolio page, the Track charts, Discover filters and tables and the sidebar all got better.

Welcome home, Poolfish

Poolfish is now part of Metrix Finance.

Every LP and lending tool Poolfish offered now runs on Metrix. If you are arriving from there, this post covers what waits for you, how to move over, and what happens to Poolfish Pro.

I also want to tell you why this one is personal. Most acquisitions are spreadsheet decisions. This one is closer to a homecoming, and I have the commit history to prove it.

I was a Uniswap.fish user before any of this

In 2022 I started providing liquidity on Uniswap v3, and the ranges humbled me fast. Concentrated liquidity had turned LP returns into something you could engineer, and it made the math hard enough that guessing got expensive. The tool LPs sent each other back then was Uniswap.fish, built by an independent developer named Chun Rapeepat on a Uniswap Foundation grant. You gave it a pool, a range, and a deposit, and it told you what the position might earn. Over its history, more than a million liquidity providers have trusted that tool. In 2022 I became one of them, running my ranges through it before I committed a dollar.

Here is the part of the story fewer people know. When I founded what became Metrix in August 2023, the first version was called BuildrMetrics, and it was a fork of the Uniswap.fish open source repo. We rebuilt everything from the ground up after that, and BuildrMetrics became Metrix Finance. So Metrix and Poolfish are not strangers. They are branches of the same tree.

The middle of the story belongs to Noah Bragg. In 2023 he bought Uniswap.fish for $37,000, told the internet exactly what he paid, renamed it Poolfish, and built it in public for three years. Four exchanges, a pool discovery page, a weekly newsletter, and Poolfish Pro all came from Noah. The full history, receipts included, is on the Poolfish story page.

So when the chance came to acquire Poolfish, the decision took about a minute. The tool that taught me LP math, the one Metrix literally descends from, was looking for its next steward. It went home with one of its own users.

Bring the whole workflow over

We want your whole workflow, and we built Metrix to deserve it.

Everything Poolfish did has a home on Metrix, and your old Poolfish calculator links now open the same pool on Metrix with the range already filled in. That covers continuity. The case for moving everything else is what Poolfish never had:

Coverage of 19 exchanges across 12 networks, including Uniswap v4, Aerodrome, Velodrome, and Solana DEXes like Orca and Raydium

Backtesting on real pool history, with impermanent loss included in the results

Position tracking across wallets, with closed positions, transaction history, and price alerts

Lending markets on Aave, Compound, and HyperLend across 17 chains

Exposure and hedging analytics, plus price correlation for choosing ranges

Metrix AI, a research copilot inside the app

A Market page for the macro read, with news beside it

A full-time team shipping regular releases

The sections below walk through the big ones.

Finding pools got a much bigger map

Poolfish covered four exchanges. Discover on Metrix covers 19, across 12 networks, including Uniswap v3 and v4, Aerodrome, Velodrome, Orca, and Raydium. If you LP on Base or Solana, those pools sit in the same table as your mainnet ones.

Pro members can filter by any metric, filter by token, set the calculation window behind the APR and volume numbers, and choose which columns show. When something looks worth a closer look, one click opens it in Simulate.

From estimates to backtests

The original fish answered one question well: given current pool numbers, what might this range earn? Simulate on Metrix starts from that same question and goes a lot further. Projections are built from the pool’s real history, so you can set a range, pick a timeframe, choose the calculation method that fits the pool, and see what the position would have earned, with impermanent loss in the result. The liquidity distribution shows how your range sits against the rest of the pool, down to per-tick asset composition, and you can snap the range to real ticks so the math matches the pool exactly.

Then you can stress the position before it exists. Model a future price and a number of days to see how it behaves as the market moves, and run the comparison against simply holding, so you know whether providing liquidity is worth it at all. Metrix saves your simulations, so last week’s research is waiting when you are ready to act. Elite members also get the composition view, which models several positions together as one portfolio. An estimate opens the conversation. A backtest settles it.

Tracking does the bookkeeping now

Poolfish showed you your positions. Metrix keeps the books. Add a wallet address in Portfolio, Metrix indexes it, and every LP and lending position shows up in Track with live value, fees earned, and performance against holding. Closed positions keep their full history, so you can judge a strategy end to end after you pull liquidity. Price alerts tell you when price leaves your range, instead of you finding out days later.

If you run size across several wallets, Elite is built for that: ten wallets with wallet groups, twelve alerts, exposure breakdowns across the whole portfolio, price correlation between assets when you choose a range, and unlimited history.

Lending sits next to your pools

Lending was never a Poolfish feature. On Metrix, supply and borrow rates for Aave, Compound, and HyperLend across 17 chains run through the same Discover, Simulate, and Track flow as pools. Sometimes the honest answer to “which pool should I enter?” is “none this week, lend it instead.” Now you can check that without leaving the app.

Metrix AI, for the questions in between

Pro members get Metrix AI, a copilot that works inside the same app, on the same data. Ask it to find pools that fit what you want, explain what a lending market is doing, or sanity-check a strategy in plain language, at whatever hour the question hits you. We wrote about it in the v4.1.2 release post.

How to get set up

Create a free account at app.metrix.finance. Free includes one wallet, open positions, and browsing every pool and lending market.

Keep using your old links if you like. Saved or shared Poolfish calculator links open the same pool on Metrix with the range filled in, and the pool tables on poolfish.xyz stay up, fed by Metrix data.

Add your wallet in Portfolio. Metrix indexes it and your positions appear in Track. New wallets can take a short time to index.

Rebuild your watchlist in Discover and run your usual pools through Simulate.

Set price alerts. Concentrated positions stop earning when price leaves the range, and the alert is how you hear about it early.

If you pay for Poolfish Pro

You do not need to do anything. Your subscription moves to Metrix Pro, and you keep paying your current Poolfish rate. We will email you the details before anything changes on your billing. Poolfish Pro is no longer sold to new customers.

Where Pro and Elite fit

Free is a real tier, and it is the right place to start. Metrix Pro, at $50 a month or $500 a year, is where the analysis lives: the full Discover filters, advanced simulation, closed positions, performance charts, alerts, three wallets, and Metrix AI. Metrix Elite, at $800 a year, is for LPs managing several wallets and real size, with exposure and hedging analytics, price correlation, the composition view for modeling a whole portfolio, twelve alerts, ten wallets, and unlimited history.

Both come with a 7-day free trial, so put your own positions in and judge Metrix on your own numbers before you pay. Start your free trial.

Where Noah goes next

Noah documented Poolfish from the day he bought it, and the habit did not stop with the sale. His next project is a trading account started with $250, published trade by trade, wins and losses alike, on YouTube and X. If you followed Poolfish for the build-in-public side, that is where the story continues. Follow along.

Let the fish keep swimming

Chun built the original with community money. Noah bought it, said the price out loud, and carried it for three years in public. Now it lives with a team whose founder learned LP math running ranges through the original, at a company that started as a fork of its code. Three stewards, one tool, and the same job from start to finish: telling LPs the truth about what a position will earn.

Thank you, Chun. Thank you, Noah. And if you are arriving from Poolfish, welcome home. We have been getting the place ready for three years.

Metrix v4.1.2: Metrix AI, right inside your DeFi workflow

Metrix v4.1.2 is live. The biggest change is Metrix AI, a copilot that works inside the same app you already use to find pools, model positions, and track a portfolio.

You can start with a question, open the relevant product view beside the conversation, and keep working without jumping between disconnected tools. The release also adds five concentrated-liquidity DEXes to Discover and Simulate, gives alerts more range, and fixes a handful of tracking details that were easy to notice in daily use.

Keep the answer beside the work

Metrix AI can use the context of the page you are looking at and open Metrix surfaces next to the chat. A pool search can lead into Discover or Simulate. A portfolio question can open Track or Portfolio. Tabs keep those views available while the conversation moves on.

The chat includes reasoning steps, sources, file uploads, voice controls, and feedback actions. When the copilot proposes a change, such as adding a wallet or creating an alert, Metrix shows a confirmation card first. The user still decides whether anything is written.

AI output can be wrong, so the product keeps the underlying data and product view close. Check the numbers before acting on them.

Save useful work instead of rebuilding it

Some answers are worth keeping. Generations turn a useful result into a saved artifact or live dashboard, and the Library gives chats and saved work one place to live.

That can be a market view, a pool comparison, or a portfolio breakdown you want to revisit. Skills let you shape repeatable workflows for the copilot, while citations keep supporting material connected to the answer.

Five more DEXes in Discover and Simulate

The release adds Pharaoh, QuickSwap Algebra Integral, Hydrex, Nest, and PancakeSwap Infinity.

Pharaoh is available on Avalanche.

QuickSwap Algebra Integral is available on Polygon and Base.

Hydrex is available on Base.

Nest is available on HyperEVM.

PancakeSwap Infinity is available on BNB Chain and Base.

They appear in the exchange and network selectors for pool discovery and simulation. Track, indexed positions, rewards, and staking support for these integrations are outside this release.

Alerts cover more of the position lifecycle

Pool alerts can now be scheduled for a specific time. Lending positions gain alerts for health factor, supply APY, and borrow APY.

These options make it easier to define what you want to revisit without treating every position the same way. Alert delivery still depends on the underlying providers and notification services, so it should support monitoring rather than replace it.

Tracking numbers follow the window you selected

On the Track earnings chart, the total and cumulative line now follow the selected range. Switching between 7D, 1M, 1Y, YTD, and All changes the summary to match the data in view.

Discover also handles missing correlation and volatility values more safely. If a provider does not have a usable value, the table shows it as unavailable instead of crashing the page.

Pool cards now expose token amounts and USD values in their Balance and Pending Earnings details. Selectors, filters, wallet controls, typography, and scrolling received the same consistency pass across the app.

Metrix v4.1.1: less friction, more clarity

Version 4.1.1 removes friction from the Metrix workflows people use every day.

Most of v4.1.1 is practical work on the parts of Metrix you touch every day. The app fits smaller screens better. The Market page is easier to move through. Tracking, alerts, and wallet history should also feel more dependable.

The release adds HyperLend across the lending workflow and gives notifications a proper home inside Metrix. There is plenty here, but the point is simple: managing a position should take less effort.

Metrix fits the screen you are using

Metrix puts a lot of information on each page. That is useful on a large monitor, but it can turn into a fight for space on a phone.

Version 4.1.1 adjusts navigation, spacing, dialogs, selectors, and other dense screens as the viewport changes. The OTP verification screen also has a cleaner code entry and action layout.

Checking a position from a smaller screen should feel like using Metrix, not squeezing around a desktop layout.

The Market page is easier to move through

The Market page had useful information, but too much of it competed for the same space. Sticky cards took over smaller screens, the asset table ran long, and the news controls made filtering harder than it needed to be.

Search and table controls are easier to reach in v4.1.1. News can be filtered and sorted, and the page uses the available screen space more sensibly as you scroll.

This is still the Market overview rather than a full asset detail redesign. The work here makes the page you already use less cumbersome.

HyperLend joins the lending workflow

HyperLend support on HyperEVM now runs through Discover, Simulate, and Track.

You can explore supported markets, model a lending position, and review it through the same Metrix flow you use for other lending protocols. Discover uses refreshed reserve data, while Simulate and Track use the verified HyperLend integration.

If you already use HyperLend, you can see that activity alongside the rest of your lending positions instead of treating it as a separate workflow.

Tracking fixes where the numbers matter

A few bugs made tracking less trustworthy than it should be. Individual wallet history could load against the wrong wallet. Pool tracking could refresh when you switched wallets or moved between pages. Price alerts also failed on some affected positions.

Version 4.1.1 addresses each of those cases. It also fixes a Uniswap V4 history bug that could record a collect event when no collection happened. That false event could raise the wallet earnings and APR shown in Metrix. Genuine collect events stay in the history; the ghost event does not.

These are not flashy changes. They do make it easier to trust what happened in a wallet and what did not.

Notifications have a home inside Metrix

Version 4.1.1 adds the notification experience and a reusable format for in-app announcements. Product updates, known issues, offers, and operational notices can use the same familiar presentation instead of a new popup every time.

You get one place to look for information that affects how you use the product.

The small details got attention too

The date range selector, popup styling, navigation spacing, and OTP screen have all been cleaned up. We also removed the unused Discord link.

Each change is small on its own. Together, they remove some of the little interruptions that made the app feel rougher than it needed to.

Go further with Metrix

Metrix puts DeFi discovery, simulation, and position tracking in one workflow. If you need deeper filters, richer simulations, historical views, alerts, or better wallet organization, choose the paid plan that fits how you work.

How to track a DeFi portfolio across chains, analyze liquidity pools, and find yield worth having with Metrix Free, with backtesting, lending and borrowing analytics, and risk tools included.

DeFi investing has moved well past staking tokens or chasing the next yield farm. Serious investors now want clear data and a view across every chain they use. That’s why multi-chain portfolio trackers and DeFi dashboards have become essential for anyone managing liquidity pools, lending, or yield farming positions.

Not all dashboards are equal. Some stop at surface-level metrics, while others, like Metrix Finance, go deeper and give free users institutional-grade analytics. This guide covers what separates a serious DeFi analytics platform from the rest, and how Metrix’s free workspace helps you track, analyze, and optimize your portfolio across chains and protocols.

Unified multi-chain portfolio tracking

A true DeFi portfolio tracker should show everything you own, from liquidity pool tokens and lending deposits to borrowed assets and farming rewards, across multiple blockchains.

Other DeFi platforms introduced the idea of “tracking your portfolio across Ethereum, Solana, Base, and more,” and the concept is powerful. But visibility alone isn’t enough anymore.

Metrix takes it further with multi-chain data aggregation and unified analytics that display your total holdings, net PnL, and historical performance, all in one clean dashboard.

You can connect multiple wallets and instantly see:

Real-time portfolio value across chains (Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Polygon, and Base)

Asset-level breakdowns of token positions, LP shares, and lending balances

A consolidated cashflow view showing fees earned, interest accrued, and impermanent loss adjustments

A strategy you’re testing on Solana and long-term LP positions on Ethereum show up in the same view, so you understand your full DeFi exposure without switching between dashboards.

Finding the highest-yield liquidity pools (without guesswork)

The DeFi space changes fast. APYs fluctuate daily, new pools launch, and older ones dry up. Tools that promise to “find 40%+ yields in seconds” are appealing, but raw yield numbers rarely tell the whole story.

Metrix Finance focuses on quality over hype. Instead of showing inflated APRs, it calculates real yield, returns that reflect both protocol fees and the impact of impermanent loss.

With Metrix, you can:

Scan liquidity pools across major protocols (Uniswap, Aerodrome, Orca, Aave, and more)

Sort by fee APY, TVL, volume, and volatility

Identify the best-performing pools for your risk tolerance

That makes Metrix a good fit for investors who want to compare yield opportunities with context instead of chasing the biggest number on the screen.

🧠 Example: You might find two USDC-ETH pools both offering ~30% APY. Metrix’s built-in analytics show that one carries 2x the volatility and less trading volume, which most dashboards don’t surface. Over time, that difference can save you thousands.

Tracking DeFi lending & borrowing positions

Many investors combine lending and borrowing with liquidity provision to boost returns. But tracking interest rates, collateral ratios, and net yield manually is tedious and prone to error.

Metrix simplifies this with DeFi lending analytics that show exactly how your assets perform across lending protocols like Aave and Compound.

Within the Metrix DeFi workspace, you can:

Track active loans and deposits across supported chains

View real-time interest rates and collateral utilization

Calculate your true net PnL by combining LP returns with lending income or borrowing costs

For example, if you’re looping stETH collateral on Aave while providing liquidity on Curve, Metrix shows how each part contributes to your overall portfolio return. That risk-adjusted view is what typical free dashboards lack.

Understanding impermanent loss and real yield

One of the biggest pain points for new liquidity providers is impermanent loss, the hidden cost that can eat into pool profits. Many dashboards gloss over it or present it as a static number.

Metrix approaches it differently. The Impermanent Loss module in the free version explains why IL happens, tracks how it evolves over time, and visualizes the difference between your LP position and simply holding the assets.

It explains the problem and gives you something to act on:

Learn how price correlation affects IL across assets

Simulate potential outcomes using historical data

See your net position after accounting for both fees earned and value divergence

Understanding this dynamic gives you a huge advantage when optimizing strategies or deciding which pools truly offer “real yield.”

APY vs APR: the metrics that actually matter

If you’ve ever wondered why one platform quotes “30% APY” while another says “28% APR,” you’re not alone. These numbers often cause confusion, yet they represent different ways of expressing yield.

APR (Annual Percentage Rate) shows simple interest, without compounding.

APY (Annual Percentage Yield) includes compounding effects (important for auto-reinvested rewards).

Metrix clarifies this automatically. When viewing a liquidity pool, you can switch between APR and APY modes to understand the true earning potential. This transparency helps users avoid misleading metrics and compare apples to apples when choosing pools or strategies.

Backtesting strategies with real data

Every experienced DeFi investor has asked, “What if I had entered this pool two months ago?” That’s where backtesting becomes indispensable.

Other DeFi companions and tools mention “backtesting strategies with real data,” but Metrix actually lets you do it, visually and interactively.

With our Strategy Simulator, you can:

Select a pool, timeframe, and position parameters

Replay historical price movements and fee accumulation

See how your liquidity position would’ve performed under real-world conditions

This feature helps investors validate strategies before deploying capital, especially when exploring volatile or experimental pools. It’s like having an on-chain time machine, powered by transparent data.

Correlation analysis: the hidden layer of DeFi risk

Diversification means more than spreading money across pools. It means understanding how your assets move relative to each other. Crypto Correlation (acquired by Metrix Finance) introduced a correlation tool, and Metrix builds on it with interactive visual analytics that help users measure risk across their entire portfolio.

You can:

See correlation matrices for tokens, pools, or entire protocols

Identify which assets move in tandem (raising IL risk)

Spot uncorrelated opportunities that can stabilize portfolio performance

For example, Metrix might show that your ETH-WBTC LP is 90% correlated. Knowing that can help you rebalance to reduce risk before the market turns.

Analytics for every level of DeFi investor

Metrix is built to put institutional-grade analytics in the hands of everyday DeFi users.

That means even free users get access to:

Historical yield trends

Risk-adjusted performance charts

Portfolio allocation visualization

Where most “free” tools stop at basic tracking, Metrix adds the context that tells you what the numbers mean.

Why thousands of DeFi investors choose Metrix

If you’re currently using a free DeFi Companion dashboard, you’ll feel right at home inside Metrix, but with greater precision and more transparency.

It’s built for users who want to see more before they act.

Free Forever: Track across chains, simulate strategies, and analyze risk, all at no cost.

Institutional Depth: Same data models used by professional liquidity managers.

Educational Built-Ins: Learn about impermanent loss, yield calculation, and lending dynamics as you use the platform.

No Gimmicks: Real yield, real analytics, no inflated marketing numbers.

Metrix puts accessible tools and professional-grade analysis in one workspace. A single wallet and a complex liquidity portfolio get the same clarity, the kind typical free dashboards can’t provide.

The future of DeFi analytics is transparency

DeFi rewards people who understand their data. Platforms that only show surface metrics will lose ground as investors ask for deeper insight and a clear view across chains.

Metrix Finance is a DeFi companion built on data, made to help you track assets across chains, analyze yield and risk, backtest before deploying, and grow your portfolio with a plan.

👉 Try it for yourself: Run your next pool simulation on Metrix, track it live, and see why thousands of users are switching to analytics that actually make sense.

One dashboard for your whole crypto portfolio, so you can see gains, losses, and overall portfolio health at a glance.

Managing a DeFi portfolio shouldn’t feel like herding cows across dozens of apps and spreadsheets. Yet many investors still juggle multiple wallets, exchanges, and protocols, often in chaotic silos. New blockchains, protocols, and wallets keep arriving, and with them the need for tools that can track all your digital assets in one place. If you’ve been copy-pasting data into Excel or logging into 5 different platforms to see your holdings, it’s time for a change. This post covers how a unified, multi-chain DeFi portfolio tracker changes the way you invest, with strategy simulation and live performance in one place, and gives serious DeFi investors an institutional-grade toolkit.

The pain of fragmented tracking (and why it hurts performance)

Keeping track of a crypto portfolio spread across multiple blockchains and platforms can be a nightmare. If you have assets on Ethereum L1, yield farms on Polygon, some tokens on BSC, and a loan on Aave, consolidating that information is tedious. Many investors resort to manual spreadsheets, but because the crypto market is so volatile, it’s nearly impossible to capture minute-by-minute changes in a spreadsheet. Important metrics like your true P&L or current collateral ratios can become outdated within hours or even minutes.

Why does this matter? Without a unified view, you might miss critical insights and opportunities. For example, you could fail to notice that one of your liquidity pool positions is underperforming, or that a borrowing position’s collateral ratio is creeping into risky territory. Fragmented tracking leads to reactive decision-making, as you scramble to log into various apps to check balances or yields. It also eats up hours of your time. In a fast-moving DeFi market, time spent manually tracking is time not spent strategizing.

Unified portfolio visibility across chains and protocols

Imagine seeing your entire DeFi universe on one dashboard: every wallet, every chain, every protocol position, updated in real time. That’s the promise of a unified portfolio tracker. By connecting all your wallets and accounts, the platform gives you a full view of your crypto gains, losses, and income across platforms. No more guessing or switching tabs; you get unified portfolio visibility that spans 10+ networks and protocols under one roof.

A good multi-chain tracker also gives those balances context. You can view your asset allocation, yield farming positions, lending deposits, and trading positions all together. For instance, you might notice that 40% of your portfolio is in liquidity pools while 10% is in lending, and decide to rebalance. When all of your data is in one place, you can make educated decisions on when to rebalance, take profits, or simply HODL for the long term. The scattered picture of your holdings becomes one clear view.

Real-time analytics instead of outdated spreadsheets

An important feature for any serious DeFi portfolio tracker is real-time data and analytics. Prices fluctuate by the second, yields shift with each new block, and your net worth can swing on hourly volatility. Relying on static reports or manually updating a sheet means you’re always behind. An integrated dashboard pulls data continuously instead, so you get live updates on your yields, P&L, and position health across the board. You see true, up-to-the-minute portfolio performance, which matters when you’re timing decisions in a fast market.

Real-time analytics go beyond just showing your current balance. You’ll benefit from features like:

Performance charts and KPIs: See your portfolio value over time, daily profit/loss, and ROI, updated instantly. This makes it easy to judge if a strategy is actually outperforming or if you’re slipping into the red.

Automated monitoring and alerts: Instead of manually checking if something is wrong, let the system notify you. For example, set an alert if your overall portfolio drops 10% in a day, or if a specific asset’s price hits a threshold.

Comparative metrics: Some advanced trackers (like Metrix Finance) even let you compare performance vs. holding strategies. For instance, see if your LP yield is beating a simple buy-and-hold of the underlying assets, which tells you whether an active strategy is paying off.

In short, real-time data turns your portfolio from a retrospective ledger into a live, decision-driving dashboard. It’s the difference between driving looking through the rear-view mirror versus having real-time GPS and speedometer.

Strategy simulation meets live tracking: an all-in-one suite

Professional DeFi investors track what they’ve done, and they also plan their next move. This is where a full strategy suite sets a platform apart. Metrix Finance, for example, combines strategy simulation tools with live portfolio tracking. How does this benefit you? It creates one loop: find opportunities, simulate outcomes, execute, and then track results, all in one place.

Finding Opportunities: A good platform helps you discover yield opportunities or pools across multiple DEXes and chains. Rather than scouring forums or Twitter for tips, you can scan integrated lists of top yields or trending liquidity pools. (Think of it as a radar for where to deploy capital next.)

Simulating Strategies: Before committing funds, simulate the position. Want to provide liquidity to a volatile pair on Uniswap v3 or v4? Use a simulator to model your fee returns and impermanent loss under various scenarios. Metrix’s simulator, for instance, can backtest a range’s performance with historical data so you get a realistic preview of potential P&L.

Executing & Tracking: Once you deploy a strategy, the platform doesn’t leave you hanging. Your new position is immediately reflected in the portfolio tracker, which will monitor its performance in real time alongside the rest of your assets. You can set up tracking of PnL vs. HODL benchmarks to see if your strategy is outperforming simply holding the assets.

Iterating with Insights: Because everything is tracked and analyzed, you have the feedback loop to refine your strategies. Maybe the simulation predicted a 15% APR but real-world performance is trending lower. The analytics might reveal, say, higher impermanent loss than expected, which tells you how to set ranges or pick pools next time.

By integrating the entire lifecycle of a DeFi investment (plan → execute → monitor → adjust), a full-featured platform saves you from hopping between separate calculators, exchange UIs, and tracking tools. It saves hours of work, and nothing falls through the cracks between strategy and execution. That makes it a one-stop shop for DeFi investors who treat their portfolio like a business.

Tracking lending rates and managing liquidation risks

Swapping and liquidity pools are only part of DeFi. Lending and borrowing are huge parts of the ecosystem too. If you’re using platforms like Aave, Compound, or others to earn interest or leverage positions, a pro-grade tracker should have your back here as well. Two big needs stand out: monitoring interest rates and managing liquidation risk.

Interest Rate Monitoring: DeFi lending rates can change dynamically as pools rebalance. A unified dashboard can display your current lending APY or borrowing APR in real time, and even show where better rates are available. For instance, you might see that DAI lending on Aave is 4% while on Compound it’s 3%, and consider reallocating. Advanced trackers aggregate these rates so you don’t have to constantly check each protocol. In fact, some tools let you view borrowing and lending rates side by side across multiple platforms, so you can quickly find the best opportunities for your assets.

Liquidation Risk Alerts: If you borrow against crypto collateral, liquidation risk is the sword of Damocles hanging over your position. A professional tracker will continuously monitor your loan-to-value ratios and collateral health. Managing liquidation risk is one of the most important parts of DeFi lending, so the platform should monitor your positions and send alerts when you approach liquidation thresholds. For example, if a sharp market move puts your collateral at 110% of your loan (dangerously close to a 105% liquidation point), you would immediately get a notification. This gives you a chance to add collateral or repay some debt before an automatic liquidation happens. The tool works like a risk radar, watching your back 24/7 so you’re not caught off-guard by a sudden margin call while you’re asleep.

Incorporating lending and borrowing into your portfolio view also means you can see true net yields. If you’re earning 5% lending out USDC but paying 3% on a DAI loan, your net is 2%. A unified view makes that calculation obvious, and tracking it in one place means you always understand your portfolio’s exposure and cash flows at all times.

Built for serious DeFi investors, with a professional touch

A platform built for power users should look and work like one. The goal is to bring institutional-grade quality to individual DeFi investors, because managing a DeFi portfolio in 2025 is complex business, and it deserves more than hobbyist tools. When evaluating portfolio trackers, look for a professional, security-first, and performance-focused approach:

Data Integrity and Accuracy: Small pricing errors or delayed data can lead to big mistakes. A top platform will employ rigorous data sources and cross-checks for accuracy. (For example, Metrix Finance backfills and validates pool data so your P&L calculations are precisely accurate down to the last fee.)

Security and Read-Only Connections: Any app that aggregates your financial data should follow best security practices. This means using read-only API keys or wallet addresses to pull data (so it can’t ever move your funds) and encryption for your information. Professional tools are transparent about their security measures.

User Experience for Power Users: An interface can be clean and approachable without sacrificing depth. The best tools offer customizable dashboards, advanced charts, and exportable reports, so a long-term HODLer tracking taxable gains and a day trader monitoring 20 positions can each tailor the view to their needs. Little touches like saved simulation presets or tax reporting show the platform was built with serious investors in mind.

DeFi investing has matured, and so have the tools available. To stay ahead, you need more than a basic tracker. You need a complete strategy and portfolio management platform. Metrix Finance aims to deliver exactly that: unified portfolio visibility, real-time analytics, strategy simulation, and risk management all in one, from a team that knows the pain points firsthand (it’s built by DeFi investors, for DeFi investors).

If you’re ready to move past spreadsheet juggling and one-dimensional apps, use a professional DeFi portfolio tracker that covers the full lifecycle of your investments. The difference is hours saved, opportunities captured, and disasters averted. In decentralized finance, information is your edge, and having all your DeFi data and strategy tools in one place is how you “track your DeFi positions like a pro” and stay ahead of the competition.

Poolfish is now part of Metrix Finance. Use Poolfish for a quick estimate on a Uniswap v3 range, and Metrix to test a range on real price history, track what a position earned, and watch lending.

Updated October 19, 2026. Poolfish is now part of Metrix Finance, so this post no longer weighs them as rivals. It explains which one fits which job.

Use Poolfish when you want a quick fee and APR estimate for a Uniswap v3 range, or a list of top pools to start from. Use Metrix when you want to test a range against real price history, work with Uniswap v4, or see what your live positions and lending actually earned. Poolfish's pool data now comes from Metrix.

What is Poolfish for?

An estimate for one range. Pick a network, a pair and a fee tier, set your range, and the calculator estimates fee returns, APR and impermanent loss from how much of the pool's liquidity your range would hold.

A list of top pools. Browse concentrated liquidity pools by exchange, with data from Metrix refreshed daily.

Calculators for other exchanges, among them PancakeSwap, Orca, Aerodrome and Raydium.

An estimate is a starting point. It assumes trading carries on as it has, and it cannot tell you what a position will actually earn.

What is Metrix for?

Testing a range on what really happened. Metrix backtests a range against the price action that actually took place, so you see whether it would have stayed in range before you deposit.

Uniswap v4 and more exchanges, including Aerodrome, Velodrome and Solana exchanges, alongside Uniswap v3.

What a live position earned. Paste a wallet address and every position reports its fees earned and time in range. Nothing to sign. Comparing a position with simply holding is part of the paid plans.

Lending in the same place. Supply and borrow rates on Aave, Compound and HyperLend, and for your own lending positions the interest earned, what is borrowed and the health factor.

Alerts. Price and lending alerts come with the paid plans.

What each number on a concentrated liquidity position means in Metrix Track, where to find it, and how to read the signals that tell you to act.

A concentrated liquidity position earns fees only while price sits inside its range, and it swaps one token for the other as price moves through that range. So the APR on a pool list tells you very little about how your own position is doing. You need three answers: what you have earned, what the price moves have cost you, and whether you would have done better just holding.

Track answers all three for every position in the wallets you follow. This guide walks through where each number lives and how to read it.

Before you start

Track reads from the wallets in your Portfolio. Add a wallet address there first (you don’t connect the wallet itself), and Metrix indexes it. A new wallet can take a short while to index before its positions appear.

The Track list: your daily check

Open Track from the sidebar and choose the Pools tab. Every open position gets a row with its current value, the fees it has earned, and how it is performing, so you can see which positions are working and which need a look. On Pro, closed positions stay available too, so you can judge a strategy end to end after you withdraw.

Inside a position

Select a position to open its detail view. A bar across the top jumps between five sections, each a chart with the numbers behind it alongside:

Section

What you see

What it tells you

Position

Position value over time, with your total deposits and withdrawals

Where the money stands now against what you put in

Earnings

Claimed and unclaimed fees, fee APR, and Retention

What the position has earned, and how much of it survived price moves

Price Range

Your min and max price, average starting price, In-Range Rate, and the asset conversion breakdown

How well the range fits the market, and your real cost basis per token

Performance

The position against four ways of holding instead, plus P/L and ROI

Whether providing liquidity beat simply holding

History

Every deposit, withdrawal, and fee collection, with amounts, value, gas, and a link to the transaction

The record behind every number above

The charts, Retention, and the comparisons against holding are Pro features. Elite adds longer chart ranges.

The four numbers worth knowing exactly

Most of the detail view explains itself. These four carry the story, so here is exactly what each one measures.

In-Range Rate. The share of the position’s life that price spent inside your range, measured from the day you opened it. A position only earns while it is in range, so a low rate usually explains weak fees before anything else does.

Retention. How much of your earnings survived impermanent loss. At 100% the price moves cost you nothing, at 50% they took half your fees, and below 0% they took more than everything you earned. It is the quickest single test of whether a range pays for itself.

VS HODL. The dollar difference between the position, fees included, and simply holding the tokens you deposited. Positive means providing liquidity beat holding. Negative means the tokens would have done better sitting in your wallet.

ROI. Your profit or loss as a share of everything you deposited. Hover the P/L above it to see how much came from price moves and how much from earnings.

Four ways of holding, one chart

The Performance chart plots your position against the alternatives you gave up by providing liquidity. Toggle any of them on:

Pair HODL keeps the exact tokens you deposited.

HODL 50/50 splits your deposit evenly between the two tokens.

Single-token HODL, one line per token, puts the whole deposit into that token.

Hover a line’s figure to see its holding value, the divergence loss, and how far ahead or behind the position is. Pair HODL is the fair comparison for most positions, because it starts from exactly what you put in. The single-token lines answer a different question: what if you had simply backed one side?

What your range converted

As price crosses your range, the pool sells one token for the other, so you rarely withdraw the mix you deposited. The Price Range section shows what was converted and the cost basis per token that resulted, breaking each token into what you started with, what the range added or sold, and where that leaves you.

The asset conversion guide walks through the math with a worked example.

When to act

Retention sliding toward zero. Price moves are eating your fees. A wider range, or an exit before it turns negative, is worth considering.

A falling In-Range Rate. Price is spending more time outside your range, where the position earns nothing. Re-centering or widening the range brings it back to work.

VS HODL turning negative. Holding would have done better. If it stays there, the pool may not pay enough to justify the exposure.

Price near a range edge. Set a price alert from Manage alerts on the position so you hear about it before it stops earning. Alerts are a Pro feature.

Everything above works from a wallet address, with nothing to connect and nothing to sign. The Track docs cover the rest, including lending positions.

Simulate fee returns, impermanent loss and net PnL on Uniswap v3 and v4, and see what your liquidity really earns.

Many “liquidity pool calculators” only estimate fees in isolation. As a liquidity provider you need the full picture:

Fees earned in your selected price range

Price movement & impermanent loss (IL) effects

Comparison vs HODL (holding the assets)

Differences between v3 and v4 mechanics

A good Uniswap v3/v4 calculator shows all of this, so you know what you are getting before you commit capital.

How Metrix’s v3 & v4 calculator works

Here is how the Metrix Finance liquidity pool calculator models a position:

Select pool & network Pick token pair (e.g. ETH/USDC), chain, exchange

Choose v3 or v4 mode

Define your price range (min / max)

Set timeframe (30, 90, 365 days)

Simulate Fee Returns Use historical trading data to model fees collected within your price range

Support multiple fee tiers, including variable/dynamic fees in v4

Scale to your deposit size

Model Impermanent Loss & Price Drift Estimate IL relative to simply holding (HODL)

Account for price volatility and the effect of moving out-of-range

Combine fees and IL to calculate net returns

Advanced Analytics & Comparisons Compare v3 vs v4 returns side by side

Display volume, TVL, and liquidity heatmaps

Allow scenario toggling (e.g. wider vs narrower range)

Track & Monitor Save your scenario for ongoing tracking

Monitor real PnL with live fees and IL estimates

Receive alerts when your position is no longer optimal

It covers v3 and v4 and models fees and impermanent loss together, so what you get is a simulation of the whole position.

What v4 adds: hooks, dynamic fees & efficiency

Uniswap v4 changes how returns behave. The differences that matter most:

Hooks & Custom Logic: Pools can include custom rules during swaps, liquidity actions, etc. (e.g. auto rebalancing, fee management)

Dynamic Fees: In v4, fee levels can adjust based on market conditions (e.g. volatility) rather than being fixed.

Gas & Efficiency Gains: v4 introduces a singleton contract model and flash accounting, reducing redundant token transfers and lowering gas costs.

Because of these features, v4 returns depend on how each pool behaves over time, which static metrics miss. Our calculator adjusts for those differences, so you can see whether v4 gives you an edge in the same pair.

If you want a liquidity pool calculator that supports Uniswap v3 and v4, shows impermanent loss and net PnL, and lets you compare strategies, Metrix Finance does all of it. Project the fees, then simulate the whole position and track the live result.

Go beyond fee estimates. Calculate real returns, impermanent loss, and true PnL with Uniswap v3 and v4 calculators.

If you’ve ever searched for a liquidity pool calculator or a Uniswap fee calculator, you already know how important it is to understand what your positions are really earning. A simple projection isn’t enough. You need a calculator that shows fees, impermanent loss, and true portfolio performance.

Metrix Finance is built for exactly that. Its Uniswap v3 and v4 calculator lets liquidity providers simulate a strategy, compare it with alternatives, and track it once it is live.

Why a liquidity pool calculator matters

APR is only one part of providing liquidity. The actual returns depend on:

Fees earned in your range

Price movement of assets

Impermanent loss (IL) relative to HODL

Rebalancing decisions along the way

Most calculators stop at “fees earned.” To know whether LPing is profitable, you need the entire picture in one view, which is what Metrix Finance shows.

Uniswap v3 calculator: backtest your ranges

Metrix Finance offers a full Uniswap v3 calculator where you can:

Backtest different ranges using historical price and volume data

See realized PnL vs simply holding assets

Compare multiple fee tiers side by side

Test rebalance strategies to minimize impermanent loss

This means you can validate your strategy before deploying, and avoid surprises once you’re live.

Uniswap v4 calculator: plan ahead for v4

With Uniswap v4, liquidity providers have even more flexibility thanks to hooks and new pool types. Metrix Finance already supports v4 pool calculations, so you can:

Explore how new v4 mechanics affect your fees

Simulate strategies that custom hooks make possible

Compare v3 vs v4 performance for the same pair

Plan ahead as v4 adoption grows

This gives you a head start in a market where most calculators still stop at v3.

Beyond fee calculations: true PnL

A fee calculator is helpful, but incomplete. Metrix Finance’s approach goes further:

Real-time tracking of fees earned per pool

Impermanent loss analysis across your positions

Net portfolio PnL including LPs, lending, and borrowing

Alerts when your range goes out of bounds

Instead of just estimating returns, you can see exactly how your liquidity provision impacts your overall portfolio.

How to use the liquidity pool calculator in Metrix

Using Metrix is simple:

Select your pool (e.g. ETH/USDC on Uniswap v3 or v4).

Choose your price range and fee tier.

Run a historical backtest to see how it would have performed.

Compare results to HODL.

Save or track the strategy in your portfolio dashboard.

In just a few minutes, you’ll know whether a pool is worth your capital.

If you want the most accurate liquidity pool calculator, one that supports Uniswap v3 and v4 and goes past basic fee estimates, use Metrix Finance. It shows true PnL after fees and impermanent loss, and it lets you backtest a strategy before you commit to it.

Looking for a DeFi Buddy? What a Good DeFi Companion Should Do

What a good DeFi companion does: ranks pools by what they really earn, tests a position before you deposit, shows what your positions made, and keeps lending in view. Here is how Metrix does each.

Updated October 19, 2026.

A good DeFi buddy is a tool that finds pools by what they actually earn, lets you test a position before you deposit, tracks what your positions really made, and keeps lending and borrowing in view, without ever asking for your keys. Metrix Finance is built to do those jobs.

Metrix Finance is its own product. It is not affiliated with any other app that uses the DeFi Buddy name.

How should a DeFi companion pick pools?

A high APR does not make a pool profitable. Look for the signals underneath it:

Fee-to-TVL ratio: whether the fees a pool earns justify the capital sitting in it.

Volume and volatility: steady trading earns fees; thin, erratic pools can leave you out of range.

Correlation: how the two assets move together, which is what drives impermanent loss.

Metrix ranks pools on these signals and updates them with the market, so you can see why a pool sits where it does.

Can it test a position before I deposit?

It should. Metrix backtests a range against the price action that actually took place, so if a range would have drifted out and stopped earning, you find out before you put money in, not after.

Will it show what my positions really earned?

Paste a wallet address into Metrix and every position reports its fees earned and time in range. Nothing to sign. Comparing a position with simply holding the two assets is part of the paid plans.

Does it cover lending and borrowing?

Metrix shows supply and borrow rates on Aave, Compound and HyperLend, so you can weigh lending against providing liquidity. For your own lending positions it reports interest earned, what is borrowed against them and the health factor.

Do I have to connect my wallet?

No. A free account lets you explore markets and run simulations. When you want your positions tracked, paste a wallet address and Metrix reads the on-chain history.

What should I check before choosing one?

It never asks for your keys or a signature just to show you data.

It shows fees earned and impermanent loss, not only APR.

It tests a position on real history, not only a projection.

It covers the exchanges and chains you actually use.

It keeps lending positions in the same view as liquidity.

Try those checks on Metrix: run your first simulation. Starting is free.

Big APR numbers on a Hot Pools list are not returns. Track fees, IL, and true PnL with Metrix Finance.

Every DeFi dashboard today seems to show a flashy list of Hot Pools or shout about “4-digit APRs.” It looks exciting, but here’s the truth: what you see on those lists often isn’t what you get in your wallet.

The difference comes down to what’s actually measured. APR is just a headline. What matters is:

the fees you collect,

the price movement of assets,

and the impermanent loss eating into your gains.

That’s why more serious DeFi investors are moving toward tools that show real performance instead of marketing numbers.

The problem with Hot Pools

“Hot Pools” rankings are everywhere right now. They usually:

Sort by raw APR or TVL

Show yields before fees or IL are factored in

Update slowly or only on-chain without context

Which means:

A pool might look profitable today… and be underwater tomorrow

Advertised “4-digit APR” can collapse once volume dries up

Investors risk jumping into hype rather than sustainable yield

What Metrix Finance shows instead

Metrix Finance doesn’t chase hype. It gives you:

Fee-to-TVL Ratio Helps spot pools where fees are meaningful compared to size.

Volume Consistency Checks Filters out pools where volume spikes are temporary.

Impermanent Loss Tracking Know exactly how much IL affects your position, pool by pool.

Real PnL vs HODL Compares your LP returns against simply holding the tokens, the plainest test of whether LPing paid.

Rebalancing: automation vs strategy

Some dashboards talk about auto-rebalancing. It sounds convenient, but if you don’t know the rules behind the rebalance, you’re just handing control to a black box.

Metrix lets you:

Backtest different rebalance frequencies

Simulate outcomes before deploying

Set alerts when your range is out of bounds

Adjust based on your risk tolerance

So instead of guessing, you’re deciding with data.

Multi-chain, multi-strategy support

The best opportunities aren’t always on the biggest chains. Metrix tracks:

Uniswap v3 and v4 pools

Other leading DEXs across Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Katana, Solana and more

Lending + borrowing positions, so you can see leverage costs alongside LP fees

That way you’re managing a full DeFi portfolio from one dashboard instead of following a Hot Pools feed.

High APRs and Hot Pools look great in marketing, but smart DeFi investors want more than hype. They want clarity: Am I actually profitable? How much IL have I suffered? Would I have done better holding? When should I rebalance? Metrix Finance answers those questions, and the answers are what a lasting strategy is built on.
